Welcome to Hygge Apothecary

(pronounced HOO-gah—but let’s be honest, I still have to pause and say it out loud every time. Hygge, hygge, hygge. Just training us both here. 😉*)

I’m Leslie—lover and follower of Jesus, single mama to two incredible young men (proud #boymom over here), homeschool teacher/principal/janitor of the Key Academy for Advanced Character and Snack Management, and mortgage lender by day (read: the girl with the key to unlocking your new home). I’m also a daughter learning how to honor her parents while parenting, a sister, an aunt, and a loyal friend. This space—Hygge Apothecary—isn’t just mine. It’s something my dear friend Jenn invited me into, and together, we’re building a space of intentional living, cozy faith, and sacred simplicity in the midst of everyday chaos.

I wouldn’t be here without her—my friend, my sister in Christ, and my personal homeschool Jedi (future podcast spoiler alert: she’s the reason I even braved that adventure). Jenn is not only the visionary behind Hygge Apothecary but also the one who introduced me to this strangely spelled word that, according to her, perfectly describes a life we were already living. I wasn’t so sure at first—honestly, the word itself is still growing on me—but when she explained the heart behind it, I saw it too. She saw me in it. And that’s just who Jenn is. You’ll get to meet her in her own words soon—but for now, just know this whole cozy, sacred, grace-filled journey? It started with her invitation.

So here we are—two friends following Jesus, chasing simplicity in a noisy world, learning to create space for what truly matters. Hygge Apothecary is our shared table, and you’re invited to pull up a chair. We’ll laugh, cry, share the real and the raw, and hopefully leave you feeling just a little more seen, a little more steady, and a lot more reminded that you’re not alone. Whether you're sipping coffee in your car between errands or hiding in the pantry for five minutes of quiet (been there), we’re so glad you found us. Welcome to the cozy chaos—this is just the beginning.
